The answer might not be found in the purchase of more equipment or fancy plugins but rather, in yourself. Challenge yourself with time-tested composition techniques that will make your images come to life.
On Tuesday, January 5, 2016; 7PM, at the Workhouse Arts Center, I will begin teaching an eight week intermediate course about photography composition. You must register for my composition course on the Workhouse Arts Center website to be able to participate. Below is a video that describes the course.
Learn the techniques that professional photographers use every time they pickup a camera and frame a subject. You’ll get in-class instruction and sample images that demonstrate composition. Some days we will have in-class group activities that you’ll bring your camera for. Download a PDF of the full course description and topics covered here.
There will be a weekly assignment that we will review and critique the following week. You will learn from having your images critiqued and you will learn how to critique images. There are also on-going out of class photography projects to keep you busy for the entire semester. They are fun and completely optional.
SKILL LEVEL: Intermediate
If you understand how to get a properly exposed photo out of your camera and if you know how to use your computer (you are looking at this so you must), this will be a great course to help you advance your photography skills. Professional, hobbyist, and novice photographers will benefit from this eight-week intermediate training. If you have never had formal training on composition, this is a great opportunity to learn from a commercial photographer with 30+ years of experience.
